I used to go to the University of Bangor! UK fresher students used to live on the campus on Ffriddoedd!

No lie, we pretty much just called it “The Friv”

My latest kitchen creation was to try and get the taste of NYC into a Burger. Over here in the UK most American themed restaurants will tell you that anything from the South is full of BBQ sauce and anything from New York is usually just with cheese and bacon.

I tried to use a recent trip as a reference, drawing on my love for Katz Deli and Pastrami Sandwiches, as well as the iconic Hot Dog.

The Patty is minced steak with brown sugar, onion, garlic and spices for that Pastrami Taste. The bread is toasted sourdough, as a Bagel could make this too hard to chew.

Sliced dill pickles, light mustard and a little coleslaw offset the sweet spicy burger with a sweet tangy taste. I recommend listening to Miles Davis whilst eating, or enjoying with a black coffee.

Ghost in the Shell for Playstation/PSX - All Cut Scenes

I’ve actually never been a fan of Ghost in the Shell.  Mainly because I’m not fond of anime that looks more like realism.  But I came across the cut scenes for the video game on the Playstation, and just melted.  I like Shirow’s old art style and was amazed to find something like this existed.  I would actually watch this if it looked like the above.  The Tachikomas are so cuuute.

Then I saw the animator powerhouses on this game were none other than Toshihiro Kawamoto (Animation Director; known for Cowboy Bebop) and Hiroyuki Kitakubo (Director/Screenplay/Storyboard; known for Pop Chaser, Golden Boy, Robot Carnival).  Of course, after this game, they never touched the anime series, it’s a shame.

GODDAMN IT, my brother and I fuckin’ LOVED this game.

hek yeah i played the shit out of this game too, BUT .. no powerups got old real fast. it had such a good ost tho

It sort of made up with varied settings and an original take on the “Robot thing explodes stuff” by having you character being able to climb almost everywhere. It also had a really neat challenging tutorial level that ranked your performance as well.

This is honestly an obscure gem and it’s well worth the search for the game.

I owned this game for three years, and the majority of that was trying to beat the insanely hard bomb defusal mission on level 3.
